Officer Joseph N. Smith
- Aged 39 years, 3 years police service
- Shot on June 3, 1923 and died three days later from an attack near Barton Avenue by three unidentified males who were leaving the beach carrying turtle eggs and meat
- Off. Smith's twin brother, Massie Smith, was also a Palm Beach Police Officer
Captain John M. Cash
- Aged 48 years, 4 years of police service
- Capt. Cash saved the life of at least two swimmers before drowning
- Drowned on October 31, 1926 at the beach near Royal Palm Way
- Three other persons drowned that day at the same location which experienced a strong undertow
