Police Internship Program

THE POLICE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM HAS BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Palm Beach Police Department's Student Internship Program offers college juniors and seniors an opportunity for practical law enforcement training and experience.

Interns are exposed to police practices, policies and procedures. Students gain an understanding of how the Palm Beach Police Department controls crime through pro-active crime prevention, assertive law enforcement and community-based policing.

  • Participation in the Student Internship Program is often the first step towards a successful career in law enforcement. We encourage interested students to apply.
  • Applicants should contact the Law Enforcement Internship Coordinator at their college or university for recommendation and referral.
  • Interns must be at least 19 years of age, and a junior or senior at an accredited college or university. Preference is given to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Applicants should be interested in a law enforcement career. Some interns who complete the program may be offered positions with the Department.
