Where is the Palm Beach Police Department located?
Our address is 345 S. County Road, Palm Beach, FL 33480. We are located between Royal Palm Way and Worth Avenue across the street from the Palm Beach Town Hall.
What phone number should I use to contact the Palm Beach Police Department?
In any non-emergency situation, dial 838-5454. This number is available 24 hrs. a day, seven days a week. Use this number to report suspicious activity or to request any police service. In any emergency call 9-1-1. Describe your emergency (police, fire or medical) and stay on the line. Be assured that while you are on the line with the operator – emergency personnel have already been dispatched to assist you.
How do I obtain a copy of police report?
A police report may be obtained from the Records Unit, located in the lobby of police headquarters, 345 South County Road, Palm Beach, Fl. 33480. This service is provided Mon - Fri. from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Please have your case number available.
What information do I need to register my residential or business alarm?
The Town of Palm Beach requires all alarms to be registered. This can be done at Town Hall, 360 S. County Road, Palm Beach on Mon - Fri. from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The following information is needed: the name, address and phone number of your alarm company, names and phone numbers of emergency contacts (persons we can contact when you are not at home and who can respond with a key to your residence if needed). Businesses may also register for the Direct Connect program. This program saves valuable time by immediately dispatching police when an alarm is activated at your business.
How can I obtain a parking permit?
Certain streets and/or blocks have been designated by the Town of Palm Beach for parking by resident permit only. If the street on which you live has been so designated, you can obtain a permit at the Finance Department in Town Hall, 360 S. County Road, Palm Beach. You must show proof of residency and a vehicle registration. Temporary parking permits are also available for guests. How can I obtain a Town of Palm Beach Voluntary Identification Card?
The Town of Palm Beach Voluntary Identification Card Program was instituted in response to a demand from the community for help in verifying the identity of prospective employees. The Voluntary I.D. Card Program is provided as a service to residents and the business community. Applications can be obtained from the police department's Crime Scene/Evidence Unit located in the lobby of police headquarters. For more information, you can phone 838-5466. When applying for a voluntary I.D. card, bring the completed application form signed by your employer and your driver's license. I need fingerprints taken for employment, travel, other reasons.
The Palm Beach Police Department's Crime Scene/Evidence Unit is also responsible for all fingerprinting. Please bring the required fingerprint card, unsigned, along with a valid driver's license, passport or birth certificate. The Crime Scene/Evidence Unit is located in the lobby of police headquarters. This service is available for Town of Palm Beach residents only.
Will the police department watch my house when I am away on vacation?
The Palm Beach Police Department offers a "closed house" service. Before leaving town, whether for a short vacation or for the entire season, call the department's non-emergency number (838-5454) to register for this free service. When you call, the telecommunicator will take down pertinent information which will be provided to the officers who patrol your street. Officers will check your house periodically throughout the day and night to insure that it is secure in your absence. When you return to town, call 838-5454 to cancel the service. There's no need to re-register each time you leave town. Simply call the Palm Beach Police Department to let us know you wish to activate the service.
Do you offer security surveys?
Yes. Call the Crime Prevention office at 838-5467 to request a free security survey. A specially trained and certified Crime Prevention Practitioner will conduct the survey and provide you with a written report. This survey is available for private residences, condominiums, offices and retail businesses.
I need a police officer to provide private service at my home or business.
Private citizens or organizations sometimes have the need for police service beyond that which can be provided by the regular assignment of police officers. The Palm Beach Police Department provides for private police services with all associated costs to be paid by the private party. To request this service, please call (561) 838-5467 during normal business hours. Requests must be received five days in advance of the requested date of service.
