POLICE BLOTTER – SUBMITTED 02/26/2010 THEFT OF MAIL On Fri. 02/19/2010 an officer responded to the lobby of police headquarters reference a delayed report of mail theft. The reporting party told police that a package delivered by the post office was missing from the mailroom in her building. THEFT On Sat. 02/20/2010 an officer responded to the Marumo Galleries on South County Road reference a delayed theft report. The store manager told officers she was working in the rear of the gallery when she heard a loud noise from the front. She observed a white male subject attempting to place a ceramic pitcher under his jacket. When he saw her, he dropped the pitcher which broke. An inventory of the gallery indicated that two additional items were missing. The manager believes the man hit them under his jacket before the third item fell and broke. The investigation is continuing. THEFT THEFT On Wed. 02/24/2010 officers responded to a house on North Lake Way reference the theft of a kayak. The homeowner told police that unknown person(s) removed the kayak from the driveway in front of his house. The investigation is continuing IDENTITY THEFT On Wed. 02/24/2010 an officer responded to a home reference a report of identity theft. The homeowner told police he received a call from a friend indicating that the friend received an email, purportedly from the homeowner, indicating that his sister had died and asking for funds and assistance with funds transfer. The investigation is continuing. POLICE INFORMATION On Mon 02/22/2010 members of the Crisis Intervention Team responded to a condominium reference unknown person(s) residing in residence after the owner passed away. Officers made contact with two people who were friends of the deceased man, one of whom was living in the apartment. The investigation is continuing. POLICE INFORMATION On Tues. 02/23/2010 officer responded to a residence in the north end of Palm Beach reference a suspicious incident. The homeowner told officer he was attempting to contact his residence and was alarmed when someone answered the phone but did not speak. Officers responded and found an Hispanic male subject who resided above the garage in a highly intoxicated state. The subject had to be transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was admitted. CREDIT CARD FRAUD On Sun. 02/21/2010 an officer responded to a home on Atlantic Avenue reference credit card fraud. The reporting party told police he became aware of an ongoing fraudulent charge on his account that was made monthly since June of 2008. The investigation is continuing. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT ARREST – SIMPLE BATTERY HAWKINS, William J., white/male, dob: 03/09/1953 of Palm Beach, FL. On Fri. 02/19/2010 police were called to a residence reference a domestic disturbance. Officers determined that Mr. Hawkins should be charged with simple battery. He was taken into custody and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. ARREST –VIOLATION OF PROBATION On Tues.02/23/2010 an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Royal Poinciana Way reference a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Langdon, was found to have an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. Langdon was issued a notice to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana and a traffic citation for failure to obey at traffic device. He was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. Further charges are pending. ARREST – CONTEMPT OF COURT On Wed. 02/24/2010 an officer conducted a traffic stop on a bulldozer vehicle causing an traffic obstruction on Southern Blvd. A records check revealed the driver, Gadson, had an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. Gadson was taken into custody and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. The owner of the landscape company responded to remove the bulldozer. FELONY DRUG ARRESTS VILLANO, Chelsea R., white/female, dob: 02/05/1992 of Royal Palm Beach, FL Charges: Possession of Schedule III Substance (Suboxone) Possession of marijuana under 20 grams Possession of drug paraphernalia Villano was taken into custody and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail. MISDEMEANOR DRUG ARRESTS GIOVINICO, Jonathan P., white/male, dob: 12/22/1980 of Delray Beach, FL Charges: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams Possession of drug paraphernalia RASPA, Vanessa C., white/male, dob: 12/12/1985 of Jupiter, FL Charge: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams HEISNER, Sean R, white/male, dob: 12/07/1990 of Wellington, FL Charges: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams Possession of drug paraphernalia LEARY, James A., white/male, dob: 10/19/1961 of Palm Beach, FL Charges: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams Possession of drug paraphernalia McLAUGHLIN, Ronald K., white/male, dob: 12/03/1968 of Davison, MI Charges: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams Possession of drug paraphernalia MYERS, Clifford R., white/male, dob: 07/09/1986 of Loxahatchee, FL Charges: Possession of marijuana under 20 grams |
