DATES FOR 2010 TEEN POLICE ACADEMY ARE ANNOUNCED

The Palm Beach Police Department invites interested teens to take part in the 2010 TEEN POLICE ACADEMY. This is a one week program. The dates are Monday, June 14th through Friday, June 18th 2010.   This program is offered to teens from 13-15 years of age. Applicants should live or attend school in the Town of Palm Beach. 

Only those teens who have never attended a Palm Beach Teen Police Academy may apply.   Students must be available to attend for the full week and permission must be given for participation in all scheduled activities. 

The program is modeled after the Citizen Police Academy and is designed to give young people an overview of the training undertaken by police officers. The program includes exciting hands-on training, field trips, including a tour of the Palm Beach County Jail, and a graduation ceremony. All lunches, snacks and drinks are provided.

There is no charge for participation in the Teen Police Academy which is sponsored by Palm Beach Crime Watch, Inc. but space is limited. To request an application please call (561) 838-5467.
