POLICE ALERT - IMPOSTER BURGLARS Palm Beach: Palm Beach Police are asking residents to be alert to the possibility of “imposter burglars” operating in the Town of Palm Beach. This term refers to thieves who represent themselves as employees of utility companies, such as water, electricity, gas or cable television, in order to gain access to your home and your valuables. Police are investigating a suspicious incident on North Ocean Blvd. in which a man knocked on the door and told the female resident he had to repair a broken water line at the rear of their property. The woman allowed the man to enter the house but he left abruptly when her husband appeared and ordered him out. A similar incident occurred several weeks earlier and in that case the subject who attempted to enter the house was a female. The subject in this case is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, approximately 40 years of age with a possible mustache. He left the area in an unknown make newer model white sedan. Police are asking residents to take these security measures…….
