OBSERVE BEACH WARNING FLAGS
April 29, 2009
Palm Beach Ocean Rescue lifeguards monitor sea and weather conditions constantly. They are your best source of information. Always swim only at guarded beaches. The Town of Palm Beach maintains guarded beaches at Midtown and Phipps Ocean Park. Check the condition boards located at the entrance to each beach to see if any warnings have been posted. OBSERVE THE BEACH WARNING FLAGS
Should the public beaches ever suffer bacterial contamination; advisory signs will show an orange banner over a red “no swimming” logo letting beachgoers know that it is not safe to swim. Talk to the lifeguards on duty to determine current conditions including rip currents and sea lice.
